Our online Health and Safety Induction course was designed to introduce employees to typical health and safety procedures in an organisation, and to prompt them to have a discussion with colleagues and managers about specific arrangements at their workplace (e.g. for fire and other emergencies).

Health and safety is about preventing harm. It means keeping people safe and healthy. In this introduction to health and safety, we’ll look at the need for health and safety, and the moral, legal and financial arguments for health and safety at work.

Course Objectives

  • How the workplace affects the health and safety of you and your colleagues.
  • Your responsibilities under health and safety law.
  • Awareness of typical workplace hazards.
  • How to avoid accidents and ill-health at work.
  • The importance of reporting accidents, hazards and symptoms of ill-health.

Assessment

The test your knowledge topic contains a number of multiple-choice questions which form a short assessment. A pass mark of 70% is required to successfully complete the course.

On successful completion of this programme, learners will gain a certificate of completion in Health and Safety Induction.

Device to use for completion:

Use a Laptop or Desktop computer to complete this online course. Smartphones are not recommended to use to complete this training as brands and phone specifications are different from one smartphone to the next and can cause login issues or compatibility issues.
