Terms & Conditions of Trading with Cpl Learning and Development Limited, T/A The Cpl Institute.

Public Course Booking & Payment:

The course fee must be secured by credit card/debit card unless agreed otherwise by The Cpl Institute at the time of booking. Placement on the course will only be guaranteed upon receipt of immediate payment, or as otherwise agreed at the time of booking.

Please note our Terms and Conditions of engagement:

  • Credit Card/Debit Card bookings. Your credit card/debit card details will be used to process full payment at the time of your booking being made.
  • Payment by bank transfer/cheque. Full payment is required within 10 days prior to the course commencing. Our bank details are listed below; otherwise your cheque should be made payable to CPL Learning and Development, T/A The Cpl Institute & forwarded for the attention of the Credit Control Department, C/O 8-34 Percy Place, Dublin 4.

  • Should full payment fail to be received by this date, we reserve the right to cancel your attendance, with any subsequent payment received being refunded. In the event of your cheque being dishonoured upon presentation to your bank, the booking will automatically be cancelled.
  • Course cancellations/refunds (by participant). Written confirmation must be received by either email or letter no later than 7 days in advance of the course start date, otherwise the full fee will apply and the participant(s) will not be entitled to either a partial or full refund.
  • Placement transfers received within 7 days of the course start date will incur a 25% administration charge.
  • Course cancellation, curtailment, amendments made to course dates/venue (by The Cpl Institute): Every effort is made to ensure that our courses are conducted within the terms of our agreement; however circumstances may arise for which we reserve the right to either cancel or amend the course date or venue. Alternative arrangements will also be offered to all participants wherever possible; otherwise a full refund will be made.

Attendance requirements for all participants:

  • In order to receive QQI Certification, all participants must provide us with their Public Personal Service Number (PPS) together with their date of birth at the time of registration on the course start date.
  • Certification of attendance and/or accreditation by examination. Certificates will only be issued to participants who attend all modules of the course. If a participant is absent for any part of the course then they will not receive a certificate of attendance. Similarly, participants who fail to present themselves throughout the full duration of the course will also not be permitted to sit examinations or participate in course exercises or projects as stipulated by either the Institution of Occupational Safely & Health (IOSH) and the Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) or any other accredited organisation. No exceptions or exclusions will be permitted, to which The Cpl Institute are required to strictly enforce compliance to these regulations.
