Off-Road 4 x 4 Training

Off Road 4 x 4 Training

Negotiate all types of terrain with our Off-Road 4 x 4 Training.

Off Road 4 x 4 Training is for drivers who are engaged in forestry, construction, environmental, engineering and communications work, using a 4 X 4 vehicle is a necessity. Whether it be to transport equipment or to gather samples, the need to understand how to get the best from your vehicle and understanding it’s safety features is important. Most Off-Road incidents occur when a driver, through lack of confidence and training changes their mind during a manoeuvre. Many incidents result in a vehicle turning over with severe consequences. It is therefore prudent to ensure all drivers of such vehicles understand the capabilities and limitations of their 4 X 4. This course contains both a theory and practical element.

The Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 includes the company vehicle as a place of work and states that ’every employer shall ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the safety, health and welfare at work of his or her employees’.
