Decision Driver Training

Driver Training

Improve your drivers confidence, skills and knowledge and increase their driver safety awareness, concentration and observation skills with Decision Driver Training.

In order to manage occupational road risk, drivers should be afforded periodic training. Decision Driver Training contains an interactive audio visual theory element (90 min) and an in-vehicle training session (one hour). This highly successful model is available for employers with small, medium or large fleets of cars / vans / minibuses / coaches or HGVs or who have staff driving their own vehicles on business. The focus of this course is raising driver awareness, concentration and observation skills and anticipating the probable actions of other road users and encouraging best practice skills.

Why complete Decision Driver Training?

  1. Safety: Decision Driver Training emphasises safe driving practices and techniques. The course teaches individuals how to handle different road situations, understand road safety rules, and develop defensive driving skills. Completing the course will help to reduce the risk of accidents and improve overall road safety.
  2. Confidence: Decision Driver Training builds confidence in new and experienced drivers. It provides a structured environment where individuals can practice driving skills under the guidance of professional instructors. With proper training, drivers feel more comfortable behind the wheel, making them better equipped to handle challenging driving conditions.
  3. Skill Development: Decision Driver training focuses on developing essential driving skills such as proper vehicle control, manoeuvring, and hazard awareness. Through hands-on practice and expert guidance, individuals learn how to navigate different road scenarios, including intersections, roundabouts, motorways, and adverse weather conditions. These skills contribute to overall competence and help drivers become more proficient on the road.
  4. Knowledge of Road Safety Laws: Decision Driver Training ensures individuals have a thorough understanding of road safety laws and regulations. This includes learning about road signs, right-of-way rules, speed limits, and other legal requirements. By being well-informed, drivers can make better decisions, anticipate potential hazards, and avoid violations that may lead to fines or penalties.
  5. Professional Driving: For professional drivers, such as bus or truck drivers, decision driver training is often great way for participants to improve their skills and become more aware of eco driving practices to reduce fuel consumption and lower costs.
